For my classmate's BFA capstone project, we directed each other in one-act monologues. Directing Simon Stephens' heart-wrenching play Sea Wall was a crash course in developing the actor-director relationship. Between the two of us, we fulfilled the roles of producer, director, dramaturg, designer and actor, learning more about the ideal relationship between these roles every day. Simultaneously, he directed me in Thom Pain (Based on Nothing).
